Bridget and Lane from UX Wealth had the incredible privilege of joining Food for Thought Denver (FFT) volunteers to help pack PowerSacks. Our team is passionate about getting involved with local organizations to give back to the community. FFT would not be able to serve 75 schools and feed around 1,500 -2,000 families per week without volunteers. We encourage all of our Denver friends and family to come volunteer and support this wonderful organization!
Weekend food insecurity in our community is an unfortunate reality. For many students, the hot lunch they eat on Friday is their last reliable meal until they return to school the following Monday. Food for Thought Denver (FFT) is a local nonprofit organization that strives to eliminate weekend hunger for low-income children and their families. Each week, hundreds of volunteers prep, pack, and deliver PowerSacks to schools across the Denver Metro Area. Each PowerSack contains a recipe and is packed with 10-15 items (and snacks!) which is enough to feed a four-person family two nutritious meals.
